History
Built in the 1850's, the building now known as the 9th Street Abbey has enjoyed
a long varied past. Built as St. Paul's German Evangelical Church, the original
congregation left in 1911. In 1924 part of St. John Nepomuk, located on Tucker & Lafayette
Streets, occupied the building as Holy Trinity Slovak Church until 1986. Patty
Long Catering, Inc. bought the building and converted into a special events venue
in 1992. |
